Shiseido Anessa Sunscreen

When I bought a bottle of the Shiseido Anessa Sunscreen for my mum, I picked up a bottle for myself too. I mean, who can resist this dinky 20ml bottle? Now there is really no excuse to not packing your sunscreen along!

You can actually find this in a variety of sizes and there are different formulations for sensitive skin, which comes in the white rather than classic gold bottle.

The product is high in silicones (first ingredient is dimethicone) and contains alcohol as well. So those who are sensitive to these ingredients may want to try this out in store first or perhaps give this a miss.

The sunscreen is aptly named sunscreen skincare milk, because it is dispensed in a milky lotion, which has a fragrance. When you apply this and massage it into the skin, it disappears quickly, leaving no white cast.

What you are left with, is a slight sheen on the skin which feels powdery and matte to the touch. The sheen also tapers off after a few seconds. This sunscreen, like all sunscreen, should be applied as the last step of your skincare and before makeup. It works well as a makeup primer.

I remember once upon a time, really not getting along with this sunscreen, and not understanding the hype. Perhaps my skin type has changed, but both my mum (drier skin) and I (combination skin) really enjoy this sunscreen and it is definitely something worth repurchasing in my opinion.
