May favourites

Another month, another favourites post.

Starting off with make up, the biggest category and in many ways, the most exciting for me personally.

I have been loving this Catrice Cosmetics Glamour Doll Volume Waterproof Mascara and I've picked up two back ups. One potentially for a giveaway, one as a back up and one I let my friend buy (there was only three in store). Everytime I used anything else I was disappointed with the results or just wished I used this. It's overtaken even the Maybelline Sensational Mascara!

I also included the Shu Uemura Hard 9 pencil in Seal Brown again (it was in last month's favourites too) because I have been using it everyday and I recently had it resharpened at a Shu Uemura outlet and I love it when it's freshly shaped. So easy to use!

Next up is the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue in Natural which is one of the two shades I have. This is for "medium skin with neutral undertones" which works well for me this month because I went on a beach holiday at the end of April over the look weekend and I have caught the sun slightly despite slathering myself in sunscreen and sitting under the shade as much as possible. I started using this again because it is the only darker foundation I have and fallen straight back in love with the formula and dewy look.

The Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is a repurchase for me and I was recommended the shade ginger for my undereye circles because the make up artist explained that I will need a deeper shade to cover a darker area. I find that most "highlighting concealer" make me look puffy under the eyes so this is actually perfect. I have to be careful not to pile it on or it will look cakey but it's a good concealer and one I have reached for again and again this month.

It is a little cheeky for me to put in this Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum because I have only started using it middle of the month but it is a repurchase and I already know I love this. My skin drinks this up and after a facial where I was told my skin is very dehydrated, I came home to this and have been using it morning and evening since! If only Vichy was easier to purchase in Malaysia, I know you can get it at Guardian/Watsons in Singapore easily but not in Malaysia. I believe Sephora stocks it for a higher price point than Escentual.

I have not quite featured this on my blog yet but this brand- Be Good To, is Malaysian made and the products are lovely. The soap is really nice and this Afternoon Tea Homemade Lotion Bar is lush. I am almost through with this but trying to make it go the distance. Expect a full blog post on this real soon.

Ever since wearing waterproof mascara again, I have had to ditch the micellar water for my face and return to the faithful Lancome Bi-Facil. I have tried the Clarins offering and it is just not the same. I love this, it has never failed me and I fill it into little bottles when I travel so that I am never without this!

So the final two products are haircare. This hif (hair is fabric) intensive detox cleansing conditioner is really good and I have actually picked up a replacement as well as two other variants to try out. I plan to crack them open as soon as I finish my current shampoo and conditioner routine.  I wish these were available in Malaysia! I get mine off LookFantastic from UK but they are now available on Escentual as well.

The Pure Beauty Hair Care Oil is a really lovely one. It's intense enough to use on damp hair but light enough to use on dry hair as well. The packaging is small and easy to travel with and the plastic bottle is light. Of all the hair oils I feature, I think this might have crept its way up to top seat. Did I mention it smells softly of fruits? It's really lovely, free from mineral oil, silicones and parabens. I am trying out the whole range - soon, I have it but I also have a lot of haircare to go through.

That's it this month. I initally thought that I did not have any favourites but here we are. Thanks for reading as usual and I hope you found this post useful!
