The Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask took over social media like a storm! Then it was quickly available to purchase on Cult Beauty and I constantly see it advertised on facebook. The before and afters look impressive but it was not the cheapest so I did not purchase it, until my godmother told me I could try hers!
First up, every purchase gives you a facial brush to apply the mask. This particular brush has been used and well loved and so has a more rustic look to it.
Now, onto the product proper. The packaging is pink, which has been said to help products sell better. I am unable to attest to that, but can confirm that this particular shade of pink is pleasing to the eye.
I also like how the brand is interesting and a play on words with the Sky being upside down.
My particular jar of product looks a bit worse for wear, but that is because it is well used. Using the face mask applicator brush to scoop a decent amount out, (I try not to double dip), I spread this pink mask over the face which dries rather quickly. Immediately, you can feel a tingle on the face, which is when I read the ingredients and notice that they include AHAs to slough away at dead skin.
There are gentler options on the market, especially if you have sensitive skin. However, this packs a punch and you can definitely see results even from one usage due to the inclusion of AHAs. I enjoyed using this and it left my skin looking really smooth and clear. Do not leave it on for too long and make sure to take a damp flannel/face towel to gently buff and remove the face mask.
Looks like the hype is real this time. This Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask certainly lives up to the hype. Some people report of its drying out in the jar. My godmother keeps hers in the fridge and that seems to work well. Have you tried this out and how do you find it?
