When Alex Steinherr announced her collaboration with Primark, the internet all but exploded (I jest) but truthfully, many people were super excited.
There are a variety of ranges and I have 3 different ranges to show you. Starting off with the Pore Balance range, which has green in the otherwise white packaging. Featured here is the Pore Balance Super Detox Clay Kaolin Face Mask and the Pore Balance Blemish Rescue Stickers.
The Pore Balance Blemish Rescue Stickers come in a pack of two and are very popular in Korean skincare to help with spots. They work because you are prevented from touching said spots and they deliver targetted treatment to the exact spot, which helps to diminish the spots!
The Pore Balance Super Detox Clay Kaolin Face Mask (I forgot to take a standalone photo of it) has a moussey effect when you dispense the clay and because of this texture it is less drying than traditional clay masks. I find it to be effective in drawing out impurities and leaving the skin clear and clean. Clay masks are something which you don't have to pay a lot to find good gems, and this is a good example of it!
The next range we have is the Plump & Glow range, which is highlighted by the purple on the packaging.
I actually picked up the Plump & Glow Plumping Lip Gloss and the Plump & Glow Facial In a Stick! I have to admit that there is a hit and miss here for me.
I actually could not find the Plump & Glow Plumping Lip Gloss initially but a fellow shopper helped me to locate it and we were both so pleased with our haul. The colour looks a little intimidating in the tube but when applied on the lips it gives a beautiful sheen and looks very full (I am really trying to avoid the word plumping!) It is easy to apply on the go and is pretty no matter your eye or face make up!
Then we have the Plump & Glow Facial In a Stick. I have yet to find a way to use this which I like. It is meant to add hydration on the go but the stick feels gritty to me. It is also a multi-tasker and can be used as a makeup remover, as well as a cleanser. I have tried it this way but did not love it even though it did work. In a pinch it works but is not my first choice.
The third range I picked up, might be my favourite range, even though truth be told I love all the ranges. The Sleep Spa range is highlighted by the pink colour.
I picked up the Sleep Spa Every Night Eye Mask and the Sleep Spa Sleeping Face Mask. Both products come in pump bottles and are aesthetically very pleasing. In fact, packaging for most of these products are ace.
The Sleep Spa Sleeping Face Mask has a very lovely texture where it is not too thick but is not too runny/watery. It feels substantial when you apply it onto the skin which is pleasant but not too claggy or heavy, which is important if you have combination skin. While I did not see any changes in my skin, it kept my skin rather happy and for a fiver, you really cannot go wrong with this.
The Sleep Spa Every Night Eye Mask, I actually use day and night. I make sure to use a little less in the day so as not to disturb my concealer but it just smooths right on and feels lovely. I do not expect it to perform bells and whistles but sometimes I do not need my skincare to do all that, but to just deliver on moisture while feeling pleasant.
The Alex Steinherr x Primark Skincare range is a real hit and with the super affordable prices, you can experience it too. I have not picked up anything from the Moisture range which has blue packaging but if it is anything like the products I have tried, you can expect beyond decent products at this price range.
