Althea Angels - Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser & Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist

There are so many launches from Althea at the moment! I know I have just raved about the Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask, but the Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser and Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist has just landed!

Let's start with the Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser, because skincare always excites me and I have never heard of a serum cleanser!

Your product comes seal, to ensure the safety and integrity of the product. While I like this and it ensures no spillage during transport, I am also torn because it is yet another item that ends up in the dustbin.

Once you remove the safety seal, you can screw the cap back on and you can see from this that the dispenser is a relatively small hole so that you do not end up accidentally dispensing half the bottle at any one time.

The product feels liquidy but not oily when you pour it out. It is really quite interesting. While the instructions say to use on damp skin, I of course, tried in on dry skin first. This product takes off makeup in a jiffy. I would not use it anywhere near the eyes because it contains mint extract and I would really not like to burn my eyeballs.

I tested out a cotton pad after just cleansing with this once and there was no makeup residue at all. Seriously impressive! I personally like to double cleanse, so I usually follow up with this on damp skin (first cleanse on dry skin and rinse off) and then rinse off again. If I am feeling fancy, I might use a different cleanser after this. You can smell the mint faintly and I think due to the inclusion of mint, it feels slightly cooling on the skin. Between this and the Althea Bare Essentials Contour Cleanser which retails at RM23, I much prefer this Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser which retails for an extra RM10, at a very affordable price of RM33.

Apart from that very well executed cleanser, Althea also collaborated with Indonesian Star, Titi Kamal. Now I will be very honest and confess that I have never heard of Titi Kamal, but I am not one who is familiar with celebrities, especially non-US celebrities.  However, we have both Althea and Titi Kamal to thank for this particular product - Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist!

The name sparkling is interesting but definitely leans itself to being fresh, and the notes do not disappoint. Althea promises Fresh, Fruity and Floral and you certainly get a whiff of all 3 when you spritz this. You certainly get the fresh and fruity first, which are meant to be sweet orange and peach, followed by the floral, which is meant to be rosy floral. I do not have such a discerning nose, but the notes are very clearly freshly fruity and then settling into a floral tone.

I personally love the initial fresh and fruity, which means I go a bit spritz happy. It also feels quite refreshing on the skin during a hot day! As this is a body mist and not a fragrance, the scent does not last extremely long but at RM35 for 100ml you can be rather spritz happy like me! The packaging is plastic, which makes it easy to tote around should you choose to do so, I just keep it at the office for a refreshing spritz.

If I were really hard pressed to pick one product, it would be the Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser, but that is because 1. I am always more excited about skincare 2. I am someone who often forgets to use her perfume 3. the Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser really is an excellent product.
However, both products come with recommendations from me this round. Althea, you are seriously beating the competition away with these new launches!

*I am part of the AltheaAngels group which means that Althea sends me products to try out and review. This in no way changes the way I review the product. I do not get any monetary compensation when you shop through my site. I provide links when I can to assist my readers.
