Empties #39 - Skincare Cleanser

I have a lot of skincare empties so I have split them up and this is the cleanser empties! Let's get started~

Starting off with the Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water, this is really gentle on the skin and I like using it to remove my makeup before I go to the gym or do a workout. It works well for most makeup apart from waterproof eye makeup, and this is really good stuff.

The Shu Uemura Ultime8 Cleansing Oil is a real treat for the skin. It feels heftier and more luxurious than the Anti-Oxi (green) version, and I do think I will repurchase that one instead just because that one is cheaper and lighter. If you have slightly drier skin than I do, you may love this to bits. I did really enjoy this but I just think I am happy enough with the Anti-Oxi version.

The Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Moisturiser is really lovely. I finally get the hype around this product. While I cannot vouch that it is energy boosting, it definitely smells really lovely and zingy! The citrus punch feels very awakening and it is funny how much scent affects the overall everyday mood! I did enjoy this product as it is not too heavy for the day time.

The Natural Bar Cleansing Grains can be used as a cleanser/scrub/mask. I usually use it as a cleanser/scrub because I am really lazy, and I was initially really not keen on this because it is a bit of a faff to use - it is dry and you add it to your palm and add a bit of water. However, i fell head over heels when I started using this properly and I love that it is all natural and that it leaves my face soft and smooth. I do plan to repurchase this when I am next in Brunei!

You can see not just one, but two Fresh Soy Face Cleanser and the truth is I have already repurchased. This is great as a morning cleanse, a cleanse before workout, a cleanse after workout, just all day! I do not recommend using this to remove makeup as I do not find it effective for that, but as a second cleanse, I love this. I love this so much.

The Clearista Retexturising Gel is an interesting one. You get little bits suspended in a clear gel which you then use to exfoliate all over your face. It works but it was not something I reached for because I love the feeling of it. How did you fare with yours if you have tried this?

This Aritaum Cleansing Foam Refresh is definitely more drying than the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser but it is not very stripping. I do not use it everyday for that reason but did enjoy this as well. I tend to use it after using a cleansing oil as it feels better used that way. It foams up a lot in the hand and rinses off clean and easy.

The First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser I will admit I did not enjoy. First off, I thought I would like the pouch as it was something quite different but it does not stay up so it takes up a lot of space lying around my sink. The actual cleanser itself has a weird smell too, probably because they did not add any fragrance to it. It just is not my favourite to use. I feel like I want to love First Aid Beauty products more than I actually do. They tend to do the job, but I just don't fall head over heels for them.

The Origins Modern Friction Nature's Gentle Dermabrasion is an effective exfoliator which you really want to take a little bit so that you can add water to it and work up a foam. The foam is not drying and helps the product move around on the face without tugging so you definitely want to use it that way. I go through phases of loving this and not as in love with it, but honestly, it is effective and lovely. I have had this as a deluxe sample before and I continue to enjoy this.

The Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash is quite an interesting one in that it is frothy and foamy, but it does not dry out the skin at all. I really enjoy the refreshing feeling on the skin. I do think that if you have dry skin it might be drying but on normal skin this would be brilliant. It washes off easily.

The Organic Touch Malaysia Everlasting Rose Face Scrub is meant to be a smaller version of the original Rose Scrub (which is delightful) but I really do not like this. The salt is smaller and finer than the Rose Scrub because that has sugar bits which is rougher on the body. I tried this once on my face and it left an oily residue. I believe it is the olive oil in the ingredients list. I then tried to finish it up by using the scrub on my body but it was a nightmare afterwards. STAY AWAY.

This innisfree sea salt perfect cleanser I was hoping to love because it is a salt cleanser. The cleanser itself smells really refreshing and lovely but I did find it a little drying on my face. So I started using it on my bacne after rinsing off my conditioner. I will not repurchase because it feels drying. The salt bits also felt chunky.

The Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser is really nice. There are exfoliating particles in this that are very fine and after cleansing with this, your skin does feel really soft and clean. I like this.

The SkinInc Pure Revival Peel is one you apply to dry skin and then you rub out the dead skin. Do not overdo it as you can easily do that and then pretty much die, but if you use as instructed, your reveal really soft skin afterwards!

The SkinInc Pure Deepsea Hydrating Mask is also really lovely. I like this on planes or when I am travelling because it feels like a lightweight but powerful hydrator. I enjoy this.

This innisfree green tea cleansing foam is very fragranced. It does errr on the side of drying on my skin. If I use it after a cleansing oil it is alright, but I cannot use this in the mornings for days consecutively without my skin feeling really stripped. I also prefer my skincare to have very subtle fragrance if it must be fragranced so this is a miss from me.

The Sephora Express Eye Makeup Remover Wipe did not work on my waterproof eye makeup. It does not appear to claim that it can remove waterproof eye makeup, and so it does not. For me, that is quite a fail as I only really wear waterproof eye makeup.

The First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads I tend to reserve when I am travelling because it is so heavy and the packaging is very compact. When at home, I tend to use liquid exfoliators and acids as those seem to offer more bang for your buck. This is pretty gentle but effective. I like this and have repurchased for quite a while.

The Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm is really lovely on the skin. I do prefer balms in colder weather. This is not drying and it feels like a real treat on the skin. I do remove with a wet towel/flannel and it is gorgeous. I wish I can afford it.

Finally we have the Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover. These are not all of my empties for this particular product, but for this empties, these 3 are the ones that are all used up. I even have a tiny bottle for this which I decant my bottles into. I have repurchased this and find it to be the best for what I pay at the moment.
