Sephora haul (The States)

There was no way I could have gone all the way to the States and not go to Sephora, and the bag is actually different. It is made of sturdier material and the bags are smaller, the stripes are smaller too, but the haul is not smaller. Enough rambling about the shopping bag, let's dive into the haul!

The first two items are actually my godmother's haul. She was looking for an eyeliner so I recommended the Urban Drcay 24/7 Glide On Waterproof Eye Pencil since it is waterproof and it does not smudge after setting. To go with that, she needed a waterproof eye makeup remover so I recommended Sephora's own as I really like it.

The Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover did not agree with my godmother and made her eyes sting a little so I swapped my Lancome Bi-Facil with her so that she can try that, which might be gentler and she gave this to me since she is not keen on it and I really like it.

The Urban Drcay 24/7 Glide On Waterproof Eye Pencil comes in many colours but the shade Whiskey is a matte brown (swatched below). The formula glides on without tugging and has good lasting powder.

The Urban Drcay 24/7 Glide On Waterproof Eye Pencil was promising and my godmother really likes it. The colour lasts but she has watery eyes and rubs her eyes so at the end of the day, after all the rubbing and tugging the eyeliner does disappear. I think that it is a good formula and at the end of the day it is a kohl pencil type liner so lasting power will never be on par with a gel liner or liquid liner.

The rest of the shopping was a birthday present to me by my godparents. They gave me a free reign and told me to get whatever I wanted, which made me really nervous as I prefer having a budget to work with, but this is my haul!

First up is something I went in store in search of, the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder & Mini Velour Puff. This is the deluxe size. The full size does not come with a velour puff and that needs to be purchased separately. Powder is notoriously hard to finish so this deluxe size is likely to last me forever.

I actually randomly saw the Ren counter and could not pass up the chance to get the Ren ClearCalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser. My goodness that is a mouthful. I've purchased this quite a few times and I continue to love this.

I also picked up the Bite Beauty mini lipsticks set. There are a few sets avialble but this is the one I really wanted to get because I can try out 4 different lipstick colours at one go and mini lipsticks always last a long time anyway.

I actually really love Sephora's own products. I thought I would try out 2 more products since so many have impressed me already.

The Sephora Bright Future Colour Corrector in Light Peach is one of the newer releases and I wanted to check it out. So far I am pretty chuffed with it and rest assured that a whole blog post is being written about this!

Now I have tried 3 of the Sephora Cream Lip Stain and this shade, Marvellous Mauve is always sold out in Malaysia. I actually once picked it up for a friend in Singapore and since then I have been curious to try it out for myself. So I searched for it in store and when I saw it I picked it up!

There was no way I could have just picked up one lip item so I picked up the Bare Minerals Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Slay when I saw it because I have seen it online and this is a good way to try out a nude shade and to try out the new Bare Minerals offering.

I have tried the BeautyBlender BenderCleanser Solid in a deluxe size previously and it is actually really effective in cleaning brushes as well as beauty blender and makeup sponges. It cleans well and does not dry out the makeup brushes. I picked up the full size since I know I like the product and the full size comes with a little scrubber inside but you'll see in the post that does a full review! This is travel friendly too!

Then I spotted the Sephora Xcel System which I have been really interested in but forgot about, but when I saw it I immediately remembered all the good reviews and so not only did I pick up the whole system, I picked the the system to go as well!

The Sephora Xcel System To Go comes with a fixed shade so I picked up the red shade. The Sephora Xcel System comes with the cleanser, prime and shine prefixed. The colour, is something you can pick. There are so many shades available but I picked up a dark aubergine shade which is called Infinite. It's gorgeous and I keep wearing it on my nails because it is so beautiful.

I had a few points and it was enough to get a sample to try out. I saw the Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil and thought the deluxe sample was a good way to try it out because it is both portable and enough to try out. My first experience with the brand has been really positive so I wanted to try more out from the brand.

Finally, I also picked up my birthday present from Sephora as a Sephora Beauty Insider. I will be writing up on the Marc Jacobs beauty set that I received.
