The Face Shop

I went to The Face Shop to pick up a toner I had used before, it was one which had powder in its toner but I was introduced to another range - Jeje Volcanic Lava to try out so I picked up a few items.

What I actually picked up was The Face Shop Jeju Volcanic Lava Pore Toner and The Face Shop Jeju Volcanic Lava  Clay Mousse Pack.

The third item I picked up was the The Face Shop Clean Face Clear Away Spot.

Let's talk about the Jeju Volcanic Ash items first since these were recommended to me.

The Clay Mousse pack is to be applied on dry skin and to be gently removed by massaging and rinsed off after 10-15 minutes.

For a clay mask, this really is not drying which I am surprised about because most clay masks can be drying. This is not and I could even wear it all over my face, although I really do usually just use it on my chin and T-zone.

You leave it on and then I use a wet face cloth/flannel to remove it. My skin feels soft and not dry afterwards.

Next is the Pore Toner. While this contains alcohol, it also contains glycerin which counteracts it nicely and the toner is actually formualted with sebum-absorbing Jeju Volcanic Ash, which you can see at the bottom of the bottle.

Finally, is this Clean Face Clear Away Spot. It reminds me of the Mario Badescu one which I had so I thought I would try it out since this is a cheaper buy but the ingredients are mainly the same, which is essentially calamine lotion suspended in a solution.

The box itself does say not to shake, which I already know. You just dip a clean cotton bud into the calamine sediment and dab it on any active spots.

So far, it does reduce swelling and calms the skin so I am happy with the purchase. If any of you want more in depth reviews, let me know. If not I will probably feature these in my empties post and write about what I think of each item there.
