The Face Shop is one of the first brands I foraged into makeup and skincare with, but I must admit that in recent years, the products do not seem to be as impressive or work as well for me.
I decided to try out The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Light Cleansing Oil after seeing it feature in Gothamista's video. There is also a rich version but I just picked up the light. Unfortunately the product does not remove makeup entirely, which is its sole purpose for existing so I found this to be very disappointing.
Then we have The Face Shop Herb Day Lip & Eye Makeup Remover. There was another lip & eye makeup remover, but I enquired with the salesperson, which is the more powerful remover of the two, and she recommended this one.
To use, you shake it up as it is a bi-phase remover. I found that this does not work with every mascara that I have and takes a lot more work than my other waterproof removers such as Lancome Bi-Facil or the Sephora own waterproof eye make up remover. So this was a fail in my opinion as well.
This particular haul really was disappointing as nothing really worked. The products look pretty and photograph well, and that is about all.
