Althea Makeup

Althea Korea has finally launched their own makeup line! Aside from the petal velvet powder which I have repurchased repeatedly and gifted friends as well, we now have concealers, eyeliners, lip colours and eyeshadows to choose from!

If you are quick to order, you may still get your hands on one of these special edition Lunar Althea boxes, which is frankly very adorable.

Now back to the makeup itself!

Due to the fact that there are various items, I will try to do a really quick run down with swatches of the products for you, but I will be posting a "tutorial" with all these items in action, as well as individual review posts, if not this blog post will run way too long!

The Althea Flawless Creamy Concealer comes in 4 shades - #01 Vanilla, #02 Ginger, #03 Honey and #04 Mocha. Granted the shade range is not the widest and does not go deep enough. I find the concealer to be creamy and easy to blend with a good medium-high coverage. I can use both the middle shades to on my colouring!

Then we have 2 glitter eyeliners from Althea which have been named Althea Spotlight Eye Glitter. The shades are #01 Gold Light and #02 Pink Light.

Both are really pretty and contain multicolour glitters which are very pretty. The names are self explanatory but have a reflective colour too. You can use these in the inner corners to brighten, on the lower lash line for a cute effect or blended out on the eyelids for a glittery eyeshadow look.

We also have the Althea Watercolour Cream Tint in #01 Plum Cream, #02 Strawberry Cream, #03 Peach Cream and #04 Marron Cream.

My favourites are the #01 Plum Cream and #04 Marron Cream. These are very pigmented yet watery/liquidy so be careful when you apply them. They also leave a stain on the lips, which makes it pretty even when you eat and drink.

Finally we have the Eye Palette Sunrise & Moonrise BCL x Althea. BCL is an Indonesian actress, Bunga Citra Lestari and this eyeshadow palette is a collaboration!

You get 8 beautiful eyeshadow colours (mainly brown, gold, pinks and purples) house in a sturdy case with a good sized mirror (THANK YOU).

Here is a quick finger swatch of the colours from top to bottom and they are all easy to wear colours. None of the shadows feel powdery and they are all easy decently pigmented and easy to blend out (no patchiness here)

I am really excited to do a look with all these products as they feel very promising on first impressions. Check back soon!
