I have to admit that I usually prefer Boots to Superdrug, and especially now that I no longer get 10% student discount at Superdrug. However, I still like to venture in and browse and they do offer a fantastic range of products.

First up is this beautiful palette I spotted at Superdrug when I was browsing the make up stands. This is a superdrug exclusive and even the packaging is right up my street. Pastel and not garish. I chose this for a friend's Christmas present so I could not blog about this until I was sure it is WELL past Christmas day!

The colours inside are all very wearable, hence the name super natural, although if it was named supernatural I would be expecting bright greens and neon colours!

I did not swatch them because this one is obviously a gift, but there are 2 sponge tip applicators (why... just why) and 8 neutral shades. There are a mixture of finishes, matte and shimmer from my memory. I know that Sarah Marie (said friend) wears neutral eyeshadows and own make up brushes so I am hoping that she will like this palette!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Warm Medium 3

It has taken me a long time to take the plunge. I've heard so much love and equally much hate for this product but when I spotted the colour Warm Medium 3, I thought this is probably my shade. Probably. I was right! This is a real good match for me, not too light thankfully but really light for a colour labelled as Medium... The consistency is really thick and the coverage is pretty darn impressive. I have used it both under the eyes and over a spot and it does a really good job of covering both. I do set with a light dusting of powder and recommend not piling this on as the dry formula means that it can look cakey really fast.

Tanya Burr Fairy Godmother Nail Polish

I also caved and picked up a product from the Tanya Burr Cosmetics range. I am not really a follower of Zoella or Tanya Burr and find their products aimed at a younger age group than myself but the new release of the Tanya Burr range looks nicer with the new packaging so I thought I would try a nail polish. I initially picked up a taupe-y grey colour but was promptly stopped by Will who thought it looked like poop so I got him (the fuss pot) to choose a colour and ended up with this blue shade!

Finally, we have the make up brushes that I picked up. There were a few sets on sale and I ooooh-ed and aaaah-ed over the Ecotools and Make Up Revolution offerings but ended up grabbing these as they were £5 so I felt like even if they are not great it is not much of a loss.

There are 4 brushes in this set, and I love the colours and feel of the brushes. It looks slightly Real Techniques in packaging but is really light (not luxurious but it is a fiver....)

First up is the powder brush, I like to use this for powder because I can get a really light dusting of powder without overloading.

This brush is slightly angled and I tend to use it for blush, just a dusting of colour on the apples of my cheeks. Both face brushes are really soft.

This is the foundation brush in the set and I use it for foundation and concealer but I do prefer to use buffing or stippling brushes for bases so this might....... get forgotten in a corner.

The eyeshadow brush in this is alright, I used it to pack some eyeshadow on and it really is nothing special but it was soft and did not irritate my eyes. I cannot use this to smudge eyeshadow out as there are not enough bristles in the brush.

The brushes are seriously not bad for the price point but if you are looking for WOW, this is not it. The brushes are soft but there are not really enough bristles in any of the brushes so they aren't ideal for certain looks. If you have a pigmented blush or bronzer, a brush like this will be excellent to diffuse the look out.
