Shiseido Skin Synchro Lasting Liquid Foundation in Golden 3

I recently picked up a new foundation because my Bobbi Brown was looking a little too dark for me and enter the Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation. I was shade matched at the Shiseido store in Sunway Pyramid and they gifted me the Shiseido Full Lash Multi Dimension Mascara along with this purchase.

I was initially shade matched to Neutral 3 but I always prefer a warmer base so I went for Golden 3. The shade range is pretty dire, only offering 4 shades in each undertone (rose, neutral and golden) so a total of 12 shades which don't run very deep at all. If you are fairer you may fare better with this foundation.

The Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation is the long lasting version offered to people with oilier skin type. If you have drier skin you may prefer the glow foundation.  I was surprised at how liquidy the foundation was, and you are advised on the bottle, to always shake it up before use and to clean the nozzle after use.

Due to the fluidity of the foundation, a little goes quite far without much effort. One pump is sufficient for the whole face but if you are using brushes or sponges, you may prefer two pumps of the foundation to layer up a bit more coverage.

Starting off with no base makeup whatsoever which is always obvious when the under eye circles are so dark.

Here is the foundation heavily swatched on my cheek to show you the colour.

Here is the foundation blended all over my face, with no concealer. You can still see the under eye circles peeking through. Therefore, I class this as a buildable medium coverage foundation. Also despite being a more matte foundation, you can clearly see a slight sheen on certain areas of my face so it is not a flat matte at all.

Foundation reviews are often done without any other makeup but I think it is important to see how other makeup sits on top of foundation, including blush and powder.

I think this foundation looks very flattering and I am certainly enjoying wearing this. I would not skip powder with this out in my t zone and find it to be not as long lasting as other foundations I have tried, but it is flattering and quite natural - gives the illusion of naturally beautiful skin.
