Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Exposed

The Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blushes have long since enjoyed many raves and reviews by various bloggers. They have a good array of colours, ranging from warm to cool, brights and neutrals.
I have been eye-ing this beautiful neutral shade for a long time and at my last Sephora haul, I finally picked this up!

I first present to you, my face without any blush.
Here I am wearing the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Light Beige as well as Sephora Jumbo Liner 12 Hour Waterproof in Dark Taupe and L'oreal False Lash Telescopic Mascara.

Another peek at the rather plain blush packaging, all the packaging roughly corresponds with the colour inside, making it easy to pick a blush if you have a whole collection of them. The blush is also relatively compact, making it easy for travelling and yes, the top bit features a mirror! The actual product is not a flat matte and neither is it glittery. Rather, it has a satin finish which is the nicest finish in my opinion for blushes!

This blush is very pigmented. On one quick swatch, quite a lot of product is on my fingers, so I caution going in gently with a brush for application as it is always easier to build up than to try and rectify a red cheek situation!

Here I have applied blush to both cheeks, but you may not really be able to see it because I tend to keep blush on the sides and not too far along the centre of the face. This is because of the 2 finger rule that I learnt from Wayne Goss. You basically put two fingers along your cheeks next to your nose and make sure you don't apply blush at this area.

Here I am wearing a more subtle sweep of the Tarte Blush in Exposed and it is warmer than I expected. The packaging suggests a more cool, mauvy blush but it translates warmer on my cheeks.

Here I have attempted to be more heavy handed, and due to the neutral colour, it has a slight sculpting effect on the cheek. I do find the blush quite flattering on the cheeks.

I think that the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Exposed may be very similar to the Benefit Box O'Powder in Rockateur. I think I may feature both of them in an upcoming post. It will not be a dupe post because their price point are quite similar but it is always good to know if products are similar.
