Valentine MakeUp Tutorial with Althea MakeUp

Happy Valentines my dearest readers, I present to you a Valentines look that I have created with Althea Makeup!

The main item to be used today is the Althea Eye Palette Sunrise & Moonrise palette! To find out a little more about it, I have actually posted up swatches on this product and the rest of the Althea Makeup range on my previous blog post.

Here my base makeup is already done, so let's jump into the eye look.

The shades are #1 - #4 for the top row and then #5 - #8 on the bottom row.

I started off with blending shade #2 all over the lids as it is a matte shade.

I then went it with shade #6 closer to the lash line.

I also take the remnants of shade #6 from the same brush and run it along the bottom lash line for some colour and to unify the look.

You are not done at this stage! What I ended up doing is repeating what I have just done.

I used the first brush to try and smoke out and blend the two shades together, namely the #6 into the #2 shade so that it is not such a harsh line.

Then I reintensify shade #6 along the lash line. I repeat these steps until I am happy with the pigmentation and look.

I then take a clean brush and load it up with shade #7 which is a light shimmery pink, and apply it to the inner corners of my eyes.

Now you can definitely finish up the look here, with some mascara and eyeliner if you wanted to, and it would be a pretty soft eye look.

However, you may also prefer to keep going, for that extra sparkle in your eyes for your Valentines day out date! (it may be with friends or with a loved one or a family member, and obviously this look can be recreated on other days too!)

I like to use my fingers when it comes to more glittery shades and so I used my ring finger to pick up shade #3 to tap onto the eye lids. I focus it mainly on the centre of my eye lids, and it is so very pretty.

Now if you wanted even more of a pop, you can actually add on shade #4 on as well, but I decided to just pack on more shade #3 to just have the pinky reddish glitter.

Double check that both eyes are even and as symmetrical as possible.

I added on mascara and some eyeliner to my eyes to complete the look and this is it!

You may add on false lashes if you choose to, but I quite like how the mascara enhances my eyes without overwhelming and taking away from the eyeshadow work.

I actually decided to add on some Althea Spotlight Eye Glitter in Pink Light in the lower inner corners of my eyes, for an extra sparkle and cute look.

and this is the complete eye look that I created and I think it is glamorous but still quite wearable!

You can then wear this eye with a nude gloss or amp the look up with a bright lip.

I chose to wear the Althea Watercolour Cream Tint in #03 Peach Cream for a brightening effect.

Here is my finished look with these products, what do you think? I opted for the moonrise look (pinkier) as the gold side is easier to wear everyday in my opinion whereas I wanted to challenge myself in wearing the pinks and making them work.

Will you recreate this makeup look?
