Etude House Double Lasting Foundation is a much cited dupe for the famous Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, and so I wanted to try it out, seeing as I like the Estee Lauder offering.
The first thing to note is that unlike the Estee Lauder which offers many shades, the shade range offered by Etude House is quite limited. In fact, this shade that I picked up - Honey Amber, is one of the darkest shade.
The packaging is in a glass bottle, which is quite typical for foundations and my preferred packaging (especially since it comes with a pump). Some people think glass bottles do not travel as well but I do not share the same opinion.
The shade Honey Amber is quite yellow, even for me, someone who actively seeks out yellow undertones for my foundations.
The pump is quite sturdy and there is a cap, which I like because it makes sure that no spillages or leakages will happen. This is a clear win compared to the Estee Lauder offering which comes without a pump.
The foundation is quite scented, compared to the EL offering. Consistency-wise, it is very similar to EL.
As expected, the foundation is quite a matte finish. I don't find it too drying when it goes on and it does spread nicely and keeps the face nice and matte throughout the day.
Here is the foundation when it is applied. You see a sheen on my cheeks and nose where I have applied highlighter, and due to the matte nature of the foundation, it pretty much stayed intact throughout the day. I do not find the need to powder when I wear this.
