I won't lie, the name drew me in and I had been curious for months. Of course, upon swatching, it was coming home with me.

The first thing I noticed is how the Colourbalm is actually not your typical lipstick shape, it is just round!
I suppose there is no real need for precision with a colour like this but some may prefer a sharp edge for a clean line. I have no real issues personally.

The other thing is, how sweet is the name Raspberry Ripple? It reminds me of that delicious ice cream, and it is a pink mauve colour, so obviously I was like this is the winner!

Personally, I like the packaging. Although the box is matte, the actual product is housed in a reflective bullet and when you pop the cap open, you can even see the inscription - Laura Mercier. It is the little details that always win my heart!

The term Creamy Colourbalm would not be more appropriate. This glides on the lips and is seriously creamy. So nice!

Here is when I just dabbed it on my lips and smooshed them together for the lightest tint of colour. It is not the most even, and there is a line of lipstick, but let's just go with it ;)

Then I attempted to build the colour up a little and I still love how it looks! Seriously creamy, juicy without being glossy lips.

Here is a close up of the built-up colour, do forgive my slightly dry lower lips, I had been playing with a lot of lip products. 

If you are looking for a good pigmented creamy lipstick and you are willing to pay a bit more for it, this Laura Mercier Lip Parfait Creamy Colourbalm ticks all the boxes for me!
