Empties #19

Now that I have been back in Malaysia for 2 months, I have a mixture of products from UK and Malaysia.

Some of the products are the same in both countries, in the sense that I can get Shu Uemura, the usual Chanel, Dior offerings in both countries, as well as brands like Avene and now Phyto and Bioderma.
Bioderma is so expensive in Malaysia though, so I am keeping an eye out for drugstore micellar water. I've tried a Bifesta one and a Sephora one so check out my posts.

Now, for the empties proper!

First up let's check out some oral hygiene aka miscellaneous products

Colgate Plax Fresh Tea Alcohol Free Mouthwash
I bought a small one to try this flavour out and the actual mouthwash is pale green. The tea flavour is really quite fresh but it is not my favourite. I will be using this bottle as I decant bigger bottles of Colgate into this because the big bottles are so gigantic that they do not fit in my bathroom shelves at all. I have repurchased but not this particular flavour.

Ikea Candle
The blue candle looks a little worse for wear but I'm planning to freeze it and remove the bottom inch and clean out the glass. I still have a few more and I like the size of the glass!
The little tealight candle is also from Ikea and I'm actually running through them as I like to light a little one in the evenings in my bathroom.

The Body Shop Cranberry Candle
This was a terrible disappointment because the wick was so short the candle kept extinguishing and it tunnelled on the first attempt to light it. I wish I knew it would not burn properly as I would have left it as it is (pretty!) rather than having a slight tunnelling and all that. I will try to keep the red metal bit but the candle itself needs to go.

Makeup

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer
I actually have 2 mini bottles of this as I cannot justify buying a big bottle and I know I love this primer. I've recently read that NYX has a primer which is a dupe so I will attempt to check it out because this one is really good but so pricey!

Clinique Quickliner for eyes intense in 18 intense black honey
The colour of this is so beautiful, the deep burgundy shade which errs on black. Mine broke because I wound it up to look at how much was left and it would not retract and then broke. So nothing was left. FAIL.

Skincare

Sephora Triple Action Cleansing Water
This has been all used up and I will not be repurchasing. If you want to read more about it, I've featured it HERE. A micellar water I prefer from Asia is THIS.

Bio-essence Silky Foaming Cleanser with ATP
Shock horror FOAMING?! This actually does not feel drying at all. A little goes a long way and if you use too much it actually gets claggy.... I enjoyed this but stay away from foaming cleansers. If you prefer foaming cleansers, this is a good one to check out.

Yves Rocher Pure Calmille Face & Body Comfort Cream
I used this when I need a bit more moisture but not too much because I have better moisturisers that really pack a punch. This is heavy so I only ever use it in the evenings and I like that I can use it as a body moisturiser as well. It does not really smell of anything and the packaging is cute but I will not be repurchasing.

ESPA Optimal Skin Pro Cleanser
This comes out as a oil-gel hybrid but it definitely feels like a luxury oil once you apply it to the face as it melts away impurities. The jojoba beads also melt and although not very exfoliating, this feels like an incredible treat. I LOVE this.

ESPA Optimal Skin Pro Serum
This smells like a spa. I would buy this and I recommend it. I prefer Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil because it balances my oilier parts and nourishes the drier bits, but this is just good for nourishing. It does not make my skin oilier but it does not lessen it as well. However, it feels so luxurious and the scent..... The SCENT.

La Roche-Posay Serozinc
This is actually not completely empty but the spritz has gone really really weird and I simply cannot bear using it any longer. I have had this problem with all the La Roche-Posay spritz so I will no longer be picking these up. NO NO NO. The actual product is decent and it has a very slight mattifying effect so I reserve it for the mornings and use the Caudalie Organic Grape Water which is more hydrating for the evenings.

Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes
I picked this up to try and it was alright. Nothing fancy. I will not be repurchasing.

Nivea Daily Essentials Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes
I love the smell of Nivea products and this is no different. I like the mini packaging and I keep it in my handbag for emergency lipstick swatches removal or random... I don't even know. It is alright, again nothing fancy but I prefer it to the Simple ones.

Bodycare

Johnson's Melt Away Stress Daily Calming Lotion
This does not smell like lavender but still manages to smell quite calming. It has mineral oil, which may be an issue for some people. I do not mind it, but I do not love it enough to repurchase. I think I will be looking at other body lotions to try out.

Clinique Deep Comfort Hand and Cuticle Cream
I have had this little mini for so long and I have been trying to finish it up so I popped it in my handbag to use on the go. This is actually evidence that I really do not ever use hand cream. This Clinique one is quite intense and not one if you are afraid of thicker creams. It sinks in quickly for something of its hydration and nourishment, but it is not the lightest texture.

DermaDoctor KP Duty Dermatologist Body Scrub with chemical + physical exfoliation
This was a little too small to try out properly but the physical exfoliation was not harsh at all. In fact, I am not sure it did anything. Perhaps the combination of chemical and physical exfoliation means that they need to be more gentle. I am still curious about this as I recall the product smells really nice!

Le Couvent Des Minimes Hiker's Foot Healer
I have never tried a foot cream or balm but this was nice. It was not greasy but it was really quite... potent! I am impressed with this product and would recommend it. I got two uses out of the little sachet as a little goes a long way. I doubt that I will purchase it because I usually just use regular body lotions when I can be bothered with my poor feet.

Schick Disposable Double Blade
This was uneventful. I prefer getting proper razors as it feels more gentle on my legs when I do use them!

Haircare

Lakme k.therapy sensitive relaxing shampoo for sensitive hair & scalp
I liked that this did not irritate my scalp and actually helped to calm it down. I will repurchase if I cannot find anything else which works.

Philip B Peppermint & Avocado Volumising & Clarifying Shampoo
This is so minty and when you wash it off, your scalp just feels invigorated and I love that feeling! If you do not like minty, zingy feelings, this will not be for you! I personally loved it!

Bath & Body Works Coconut Lime Verbena Volumising Conditioner
The conditioner itself was alright but the fact that it smells like Pina Colada made it a LOVE product for me. So silly, but so true. I think I need to go into Bath & Body Works in Malaysia and see what products they make in this scent!

That's a total of 19 products without counting the candles. I have not done too bad this month!
