Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural in N9 Copper Pink |
Everyone loves a free gift, right?
First up, it took me a really long time to check out the shade name, as I thought it was the random UG01B code when it fact it is just the simple N9 code, and a quick look at Sephora confirmed the shade name as Copper Pink.

As the name Natural may suggest, this is a sheer lipstick but it can be built up, as I have tried to demonstrate by swatching it once lightly and doing a second swatch of three swipes.
I believe the Intense version is a more opaque lipstick but do not have one to compare.

Here I am without any lip products.
Here I have just applied the lipstick on half of my lips to show you the contrast and it is quite a good My Lips But Better shade even though the colour does not look very pretty in the bullet.

Here I have applied it all over my lips once just for a slick of colour
Here I have tried to build up the colour a little and so you can see that it is now darker on the lips. I do prefer just a quick slick of it.
The formulation is really beautiful and the lipstick feels very soft and glides on. This lipstick glides on and feels kind of luxurious, which means that I am now keen to try on more colours. The full size is USD20 and £16, making it cheaper in the States (as usual) and the shade N9 was not available on the Debenhams site, which is the exclusive retailer in the UK as far as I am aware.
What is your experience with Make Up For Ever lipsticks? Do you prefer the Intense or Natural version?
