Let's talk about some haircare products that I have picked up and given a good enough run that I can now review them properly.
The IGK Smoke & Mirrors Conditioning Cleansing Oil is a good way to wash my hair if I know I am going to wash it again tomorrow for an event. I like that it is non stripping but it certainly will not replace a proper shampoo for me because my hair feels grim faster. However when I know I need to wash my hair consecutively, I like using this instead of actual shampoo. High maintenance? Absolutely.
I also picked up this Starskin Nourising Coconut Hot Oil Hair Mask which is exactly what it says. I must admit I picked this up because I was hoping I would be able to reuse the hair cap attached.
On hindsight, it really was wishful thinking. In the box, you get a little how-to-pamphlet, the mask and a hair cap. I heated the mask up in a cup of hot water and applied it all over my hair and then used the hair cap. The hair cap was a right state after that so it was chucked.
There is no doubt that this hair mask left my hair super soft and shiny but you must wash it out twice if not three times. I still had bits at the back of my head which were not properly rinsed out at the end.
Overall, both items did what they said they would but did not blow me out of the waters. I do not mind them but would probably not repurchase.
