Empties #34 - Makeup Lipstick

Now I'll be honest, you are about to be hit with empties post after empties post after empties post. I have had so many because I thought it would be easier to keep them all and do a big post (WRONG) but here we are and this is the first one of .... well, let's keep it a surprise!

Starting with the Benefit Benetint, I have had this for so long that I think I need to get rid of it. I do like how this looks on both the cheeks (work SUPER FAST) and the lips, but it stains my fingers unless I use it with a brush. This was a repurchase but I am not sure if I would repurchase it again.

The Kiko Free Spirit Lips & Cheeks was so similar to the Bobbi Brown Art Stick (coming up later) and I really loved it. However, this is well past the used-by/best before date so I am saying goodbye. I do love this though.

The Maybelline Colourdrama is such a good lipstick in pencil form. It was a colour I reached for a lot and it is quite dramatic but this is... old. So goodbye.

The H&M Lip Colour-To-Go is a little too dark for me (I tried to get something SUPER dark and succeeded) and I do find this drying in that it is quite hard to apply and it drags on the lips.

This Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Bright Raspberry is so gorgeous sheered out or worn as a punchy colour but it is really quite old so I am saying goodbye! *cries*

This Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Damned is such a classic and mine is really too old to be saving. I plan to repurchase this when I get my lipstick collection down to a more "normal" size.

It absolutely breaks my heart that I am throwing out the Mac Cosmetics Lipstick in Ruby Woo (Retro Matte) and Diva. They are so gorgeous and lipsticks I grab when I want a fail-safe statement lip but these are BEYOND OLD so I am saying goodbye for now. Repurchase super likely.

More Kiko product. Both of these I picked up at the same time and the colours are beautiful but I just never wear them. It is not that they are not nice products, more that I had too many other nice lipsticks so I never got round to wearing these. That is why I am getting rid of these (they are also old) and trying to be really good with makeup purchases.

Illamasqua, I love these liquid lipsticks but do not actually wear them as much as I expected. I am also not as into cooler/pinker tones nowadays and these are old, hence why I am getting rid of them.

I collected these Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet and I really loved them (hence the collection). Then I read someone's review and comment about that horrible smell and suddenly the smell became an issue. They feel nice on the lips but there is a pretty intense rubber/plastic? smell. These are also embarrassingly old so I am not even going to tell you how old.

I really love Maybelline lipsticks and I think this is where they excel. These are both really nude shades which are pretty hard for me to pull off without a lot of work so I am saying goodbye.

This No7 Protect & Perfect Lip Care is more of a lip cream than a lip balm and I quite like how it feels on the lips. It also has a pleasant vanilla(?) scent and if you accidentally lick it, does not taste icky.

All of these are going because they are too old, but apart from the Korres Lip Butter in Quince which I love to death and back, the Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Exfoliating Lip Salvation is quite odd in that I do not feel any exfoliation at all, the red tint is quite pretty but it just is not anything fancy. Soap & Glory A Great Kisser has a few flavours. I had both the chocolate and the peach one (no idea which this is) but I just don't enjoy dipping my finger into pots or tins (I will make an exception for things I REALLY love like the Korres) but this is kind of sticky... no.

This is a Bourjois  chubby lip pen which has completely rubbed off. It is in a nude-y shade and is very beautiful on the lips, comfortable, but is old so I am saying goodbye.

This Jordana twist & shine moisturising balm stain in honey love is a slightly darker than my lips colour which is flattering. It feels nice on the lips but I did not reach much for it and now it is expired. Excellent work, Christabel.

Finally we have two mini Lipstick Queen lip balms which offer a sheer wash of colour but are insanely comfortable to wear. I never managed to finish them before they got really old.

Those are all the lipsticks I am getting rid of and I have... other lip products, other makeup, skincare, bodycare and miscellaneous empties. Yes, you read that right.
