All About Lips #85

The first All About Lips post of 2016 and I think we ought to focus on lip balms that hydrates and give a hint of colour at the same time.

Now that we have been using lots of pigmented colours, my personal preference are matte formulations, coupled with the cold weather whilst I was travelling, means that my lips need a little bit more TLC. I still want a bit of colour, so I'm showing you three of my lip balms in tins.

I actually really like lip balms in tins and pots for night time, but these are tinted so I tend to use them in the day time. All 3 have a bit of colour.

Here I am wearing Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Exfoliating Lip Salvation and there is no real pigment despite the red appearance in the pot. The lip balm actually feels a little grainy when you first dip your finger in to use but on the lips it smoothes on. This is not my favourite lip balm as I have other favourites.

Here is the Korres Lip Butter in Quince. I had this in 2 other flavours, 1 is a nude colour - Jasmine, and 1 is peachy in colour - Pomegranate. I have lost the Jasmine one somehow, and the Pomegranate one was not as flattering so this is the one I have kept and love using. This Lip Butter truly melts on the lips and not much is needed for this softly tinted look.

This Soap & Glory A Great Kisser smells like chocolate heaven. It is slightly stickier than the other two, but it has the glossiest finish. There is a pink tint as well which is rather flattering.
