The Guerlain Météorites Birthday Candle Pearls are a new addition for me to my family of Guerlain powders.
If you are thinking of investing in Guerlain Météorites, I whole heartedly recommend the loose powder aka the pearls, as opposed to the pressed powder version.
The Guerlain Météorites Birthday Candle Pearls comes in a really beautiful packaging and the pink tin box is really pretty. Even the lid is a work of art.
Once you remove the lid, you find a sponge which keeps all the pearls in place. I personally would not use this sponge to apply the powder onto my face.
Beneath the sponge, the Guerlain Météorites Birthday Candle Pearls are in full glory.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how beautiful these are? All the pearls smell like violets and the finish you get from this, is not a flat matte finish. In fact, it is not so much a setting powder as a finishing powder. If you wonder about the difference, a setting powder is more "hardcore" and really has the ability to lock in your makeup.
